Metallic letters in chennai are impressive, durable, appealing and practical ways to tell the public about your business. Hang them on the outside wall, and they show your location. Hang them inside your business, and they inspire and add a decorative element.
Irrespective of why you use metal letters, you still need to mount them on the wall. And you need to attach them securely and adequately, so they stay put for years. Here are some of the methods to install lettering signs made of any metal – stainless steel, copper, brass, aluminium, or bronze.
Installing Them On Drywall
To install metal letters on drywall, use stud mounting. You first create a pattern on the wall based on where you want the letters. After the pattern is up, drill the holes for the mounting studs in the correct locations—screw on the mounting studs in the spaces made at the backside of the metal letters.
Add a silicone or cement adhesive to the holes you drilled on the wall. Paint the same adhesive on studs in the back of the metal letters. Now simply slide each letter on the wall!
Installing On Brick Walls
If you are installing metal letters on a brick wall, the process is very similar to that of drywall. The only difference is that you will need to put the mounting studs where there are mortar joints. Every other step is the same as drywall installation.
In case you want to install the metal letters a little away from the wall, you will need spacers. In this scenario, the letters don’t touch the wall but are about ¾ of an inch away from it. For this kind of mounting you will need to buy mount studs and spacers. The spacer will fit around the mounting stud. The rest of the installation methods is the same as mounting on drywall.
Installing With Tape And Nuts
Any building that is corrugated needs a different installation technique. You will need mounting studs with nuts. When you add nuts to the studs, it helps each letter stand further away from the wall – particularly the low sections. Do note if your walls are smooth, and you want the metal letter to project out, use the spacer method.
The easiest way to hang metal letters on a wall is to utilise a spacing tape. You won’t need any studs, nuts or spacers. You have to buy the pre-marked spacing tape. Please attach it to your wall and affix the letters on to it. To make the letters durable, you can reinforce them with silicone adhesive!
